About Our Rendering Services
A professionally applied silicone render typically lasts 20–25 years with minimal maintenance. Its flexibility prevents cracking and its self-cleaning properties keep the surface looking fresh longer than traditional finishes.
K-Rend is a polymer-modified cement-based system producing a textured finish, while silicone render is a thinner, flexible topcoat over a base coat. Both are excellent — the right choice depends on your substrate, property age and aesthetic goals. We assess each project individually.
Monocouche is a single-coat, through-coloured render applied directly to blockwork or brick. The colour runs all the way through, so minor chips aren't obvious, and the surface needs no painting. It's particularly popular on new builds and larger residential projects.
We monitor weather conditions carefully. Most render systems should not be applied below 5°C or when frost is forecast within 24–48 hours. We plan work accordingly and will always advise you if conditions are unsuitable.
About Our Plastering Services
We offer a full range of plastering services including new plaster skims, re-skimming over existing surfaces, dot-and-dab drylining, repairs to cracked or damaged plaster, and preparation for decorating. Whether it's a single room or a whole house, we'll achieve a smooth, durable finish.
Fresh plaster typically takes 2–4 weeks to dry fully before it's ready for painting, depending on room temperature and ventilation. You'll notice it change from a dark pink to a pale, consistent colour as it dries. We'll advise you on the best conditions to speed up the drying process.
In most cases, yes. We can skim over artex and textured surfaces to create a smooth finish, provided the existing surface is sound and well bonded. Where artex contains asbestos (common in homes built before 1985), we'll advise on the correct approach before any work begins.
We recommend clearing the room as much as possible. Large furniture should be moved out or pushed to the centre and covered with dust sheets. We'll take care to protect floors and fittings, but the less in the room the better for a clean, unobstructed finish.
Plastering costs vary depending on the size of the area, the condition of existing surfaces, and the type of finish required. We provide free, no-obligation quotes tailored to your project — the quickest way to get a price is to message us on WhatsApp with details and photos.
Project & Practical Questions
No. Exterior rendering is carried out entirely outside your property. We ask that windows and doors near the work area remain closed during application to prevent dust ingress, but you can go about your normal daily life.
This depends on the size of the property and the system chosen. A standard semi-detached house typically takes 2–5 days from preparation to final coat. We'll give you a realistic timeframe in your quote.
Yes. We regularly screed over underfloor heating systems (UFH). We'll discuss the correct screed depth and any special requirements for your UFH system during the survey.
